Abdominal FAST
An abdominal FAST exam provides real-time information about free fluid in the abdomen, pericardial, and pleural spaces, which are often missed or only suspected through a physical exam, basic blood and urine testing, and even radiography. Clarius HD3 Vet wireless ultrasound can identify as little as 2 to 3 mls per kilo of free fluid, leading to early intervention and better patient outcomes.
Splenic Rupture
Look for free fluid as a sign of splenic rupture to expedite treatment. The spleen in small animals is an elongated flattened organ, appearing triangular in dogs and ovoid in cats and located near the stomach on the left side. Use Clarius HD3 vet to image the spleen and surrounding structures in high resolution when looking for suspected splenic rupture.
