The First Annual International Conference of Iraqi Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation

Nephro-POCUS is an area that was poorly investigated until the time Prof. Alaa Al-Skeikh and his board student, Dr. Mujtaba Al-Saray, did their research titled “ Lung Ultrasound and Caval Indices to Assess Volume Status in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients”. This research was powered by Clarius, which was the sole ultrasound machine used for this unique investigation. In this event, we did have a nephro POCUS session, at which Dr. Al-Saray shared with the audience his findings. We also shaded a light on how Clarius represents a cost effective, yet powerful solution for nephrologists POCUS needs.

POCUS has deep routs that cross-roads with all specialities and presents one of the key pillars to accelerating and guiding better informed clinical decisions.
